Bucknell's Valentina Rozas Named January 26 Southern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Bucknell University's Valentina Rozas (Sr., Pico Rivera, Calif./El Rancho) tallied nine goals, three assists, 11 ejections drawn and two steals in three games at the University of Michigan Kick-Off Tournament to earn the January 26 Southern Division Player of the Week award. Rozas, who tallied three goals in three games for the Bison, played in two of Bucknell's three games against nationally ranked teams.
The team leader in goals scored on the season, she netted three goals with two assists and a steal in an 11-8 win over Colorado State University to go along with three goals versus both No. 8 Arizona State University (15-7 L) and No. 7 San Jose State University (14-5 L).
Rozas, who did not play against No. 3 UCLA (17-0 L), is currently tied for the team lead in points with 12 adn raised her career scoring total to 170 points to rank 11th on the Bucknell career list.
