Oct. 20 National Men's Water Polo Statistics Released

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The National Men's Water Polo Statistics were released by the Wagner University Sports Information Office with Collegiate Water Polo Association members among the nation's best for yet another week.

In scoring, seven of the Top 13 scorers play in the CWPA as Bucknell University's Richie Hyden (2nd, 65 goals in 23 games, 2.83 gpg), Iona College's Joe Przekota (4th, 62 goals in 24 games, 2.58 gpg), Johns Hopkins University's Peter Davis (6th, 53 goals in 23 games, 2.30 gpg), George Washington University's Nick Eddy (8th, 52 goals in 24 games, 2.17 gpg), Mercyhurst College's Andrew Schonhoff (10th, 50 goals in 19 games, 2.63 gpg) and Alex Moggridge (12th, 48 goals in 17 games, 2.82 gpg) and Saint Francis College's  Nemanja Pucarevic (13th, 47 goals in 18 games, 2.61 gpg) rank at the top of the national rankings.

On the other side of the tank, six of the nation's 12 best goalies play on the East Coast as Washington & Jefferson College's John Todd (2nd, 218 saves in 18 games, 12.11 spg), Mercyhurst College's Andy Sekulski (4th, 205 saves in 19 games, 10.79 spg), Fordham University's Timmy Will (5th, 189 saves in 19 games, 9.95 spg), Johns Hopkins University's Chris Hutchens (7th, 177 saves in 18 games, 9.83 spg), Saint Francis College's Nikola Djuric (11th, 169 saves in 15 games, 11.27 spg) and George Washington University's Alex Sotolongo (12th, 169 saves in 22 games, 7.68 spg) rank in the national statistics.

In the team rankings, Bucknell University (232 goals in 19 games, 12.21 gpg) ranks third in team offense. while Saint Francis College (4th, 211 goals in 18 games, 11.72 gpg), Brown University (6th, 200 goals in 18 games, 11.11 gpg) and Mercyhurst College (9th, 204 in 19 games, 10.74 gpg) round out the CWPA representation in the Top 10.

On defense, the CWPA is also represented as Saint Francis College (4th, 132 goals in 18 games, 7.33 gpg) and Mercyhurst College (5th, 155 goals in 19 games, 8.16 gpg) rank among the nation's Top 10 teams in fewest goals allowed.
