St. Francis' Nemanja Pucarevic Named Sept. 22 Northern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Saint Francis College's Nemanja Pucarevic (Sr., Belgrade, Serbia/Sportska Gimnaziza) scored five goals, handed out two assists and collected three steals to earn the September 22 Northern Division Player of the Week award and lead the No. 12 nationally-ranked Terriers to the 2008 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship at Harvard University.

Saint Francis, which outscored its opponents 44-21 in the tournament, downed No. 18 Princeton University (11-5 W), Bucknell University (17-9 W) and No. 20 Johns Hopkins University (16-7) to claim its fifth straight ECAC title and the sixth in school history.

Against Princeton, Pucarevic drew two ejections in the six goal win, before registering a goal, three steals and three ejections drawn versus Bucknell.  In the tournament title game against Johns Hopkins, he scored four goals and drew a pair of ejections to up his scoring total to a team best 25 goals this season.

A three-time All-North selection, including first team honors in 2007, Pucarevic is the second Terriers' player to earn Player of the Week honors this year as Nikola Djuric (So., Belgrade, Serbia/IV Belogradska Gimnazija) garnered the award on September 8.
