One of 22 athletes named to the team, Barby and the other nine first-team members will now move to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The All-America teams are scheduled to be released Wednesday, June 10.</description>

      <description>The 2009 NCAA Men's Water Polo Championships will be hosted by Princeton at DeNunzio Pool. Last week, the Tiger men's water polo team announced the 2009 schedule that it hopes will lead it to the year-end event. Princeton was 19-10 a season ago and captured the Southern Championship for the fifth overall time and for the first time since 2004. The Tigers advanced to the Eastern title game, finishing second, but Princeton looks to end its season at home and advance to the NCAA Championship with an Eastern title for the first time since 2004.</description>

An assistant professor of economics at Knox who swam for four years at Amherst College, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1987., he was captain of the swim team his senior year - the same year that his team placed 25th at the NCAA Div III National Swimming and Diving Championship. Powers also competed in water polo at Amherst, serving as captain his senior year.</description>

      <description>Iona College Athletics, Head Coach Brian Kelly, and the Iona College Water Polo programs are proud to announce that this year's Kenneth Dolan Memorial run will take place on Thursday, June 7th at Prospect Park, Brooklyn.  The race is slated to begin at 10:00am. The Kenny Dolan Memorial Fund at Iona College has been established from this race to assist some student in need of financial support for his or her education. It is in this spirit that Kenny will be remembered.</description>

      <title>Larry Naeve Named St. Francis College (N.Y.) Head Men's Water Polo Coach</title>

      <description>Larry Naeve was introduced today by St. Francis College (N.Y.) Director of Athletics Irma Garcia as the new head coach of the men's water polo program.  In addition, Igor Samardzija has been appointed the assistant coach of the Terriers. Naeve's coaching experience spans more than twenty years and includes two impressive stints as the head coach at La Canada High School in California. &#xD;

Naeve replaces Carl Quigley, who resigned this past winter after coaching the Terriers for 34 years, which included six Northern Division Championships and a trip to the NCAA Final Four in 2005.</description>

Among those honored was senior Timmy Will, who was named water polo MVP. Will wrapped up his career with his finest season as a Ram, earning Second Team All-Northern Division honors.</description>
