Princeton's Sarah Hutchison Named March 8 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University's Sarah Hutchison (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) scored five goals and grabbed three steals to lead the Tigers to a 2-1 weekend at the Elite Eight Tournament at Indiana University and earn the March 8 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.
Competing this weekend after enduring limited playing time due to injury, she helped the No. 20-ranked Tigers against No. 11 Hartwick College (10-8 L), Harvard University (12-6 W) and No. 17 Brown University (7-5 W).
Against Hartwick, she posted two goals and a steal before tallying two goals versus Harvard and a goal with two steals versus Brown.
The goals marked the first of the season for Hutchison who raised her career scoring total to 39 markers after registering 21 (2008) and 13 (2009) goals during the past two seasons.
