BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Kristen Ward (So., Sacramento, Calif./St. Francis) of Princeton University earned three wins and notched 24 saves against George Washington University, University of Maryland and Bucknell University to garner recognition as the April 12 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week.
The award marks the fourth time during the 2010 season Ward has been recognized as the Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week. Ward contributed six saves versus both Maryland and George Washington, while posting 12 in the one-goal defeat of the Bison.
For the year, she has 182 saves with 157 goals against in 608 minutes of work.
