BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) to provide a service to the water polo community posts open job positions for coaches seeking employment under the Coaching link on the website. Collegiate Varsity
University of Maryland Women's Assistant Coach
The University of Maryland seeks an assistant women's water polo coach. Duties include assisting the head coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division I water polo program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, scouting, recruiting, coaching, practice and game scheduling, the administration of team budgets, and fund-raising. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics. Salary is commensurate with experience. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Must have at least 2-3 years experience as a water polo coach, preferably at the collegiate level. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Harvard University Head Men's & Women's Coach
Harvard Athletics seeks the next leader of the men’s and women’s water polo program. The head coach candidate will join a department committed to creating a championship-caliber program with a focus on student-athlete success in the pool and in the classroom. In working with some of the brightest young minds in the country, the head coach must be smart, hard-working, and ultra-competitive.
The head coach will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Harvard Water Polo program, including: planning and directing the training strategy for the men’s and women’s teams, establishing practice and competition schedules, developing the overall recruiting strategy, communicating effectively with student-athletes and serving as the first line of communication and counsel so that the student-athletes develop their full potential as individuals, spearheading fundraising efforts, supervising a coaching assistant, and serving as the primary liaison for all compliance issues.
Required education and experience: Bachelor’s degree required, minimum of one to three years of coaching experience (preferably at the collegiate level), demonstrated ability to work with and related to Ivy League student-athletes, knowledge of and respect for NCAA and Ivy League principles, good organizational skills. Must be able to work effectively with student-athletes, other coaches, athletic staff members, University personnel, and alumni.
The position is a full-time 12-month position with a top-notch benefits program.
Hartwick College Women's Assistant Coach

Hartwick College is accepting applications for an Assistant Coach for its nationally prominent NCAA Division I women’s water polo program. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, ten-month position running August 1 through May 31. Hartwick College competes in the CWPA. This position assists the Head Coach in all aspects of the daily operation of a successful Division I intercollegiate women’s water polo program. Responsibilities include but not limited to: recruiting, the organization and conduct of practices/competitions, overseeing the academic progress of student-athletes, organization of team travel, scouting and evaluation of opponents, the development and fostering of alumni and community relationships, promotional activities, and overall administration of the program in accordance with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Hartwick College, CWPA, NCAA, and other related association rules and regulations. The position will include teaching in the required physical education service program and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of coaching and/or playing experience at the college or equivalent level required, and must be knowledgeable of NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the College. Mercyhurst College Graduate Assistant
Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and Collegiate Water Polo Association is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Water Polo Coach.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all facets of a Division II varsity program including evaluating/recruiting of potential student athletes, organizing and planning of practices/games, and monitoring of academic progress for both the Men's and Women's Water Polo teams.
This is a nine month position. Compensation includes a monthly stipend and full academic assistance. Qualifications should include collegiate water polo experience. Coaching experience at any level preferred. Looking to fill the position for this fall.

Saline High School (Mich.) Seeks Varsity Girls' Head Water Polo Coach
Saline High School seeks a head girls' water polo coach. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge about the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport, ability to obtain current CPR/First Aid certification, ability to work effectively with sport coaching staff, parents and school staff. Experience working with high school-aged students preferred. Prior coaching experience at high school or college level preferred

Staples High School Seeks Coach for Water Polo Club
We have a third year boys water polo club team that has approximately 20 players of varying experience. The team has competed in inter-school matches and tournaments in our area. They have shown tremendous progress in the course of the season and strong interest for next fall. We are seeking a head coach to launch and further develop this program. Responsibilities to include running practices, fitness/dry land training, game strategy and organizing matches against other teams. We compete against prep schools, clubs and high schools in the CT area via games and tournaments. The season is 12 weeks, approximately 8-10 hours per week, and a stipend is available.
