CWPA Releases October 16-17 Varsity Southern Division-East Region Schedule Change
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has released an amended schedule for games at Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University and the United States Naval Academy on October 16-17. A complete schedule for the division is available under the Schedules tab of the website.
On Friday, October 16, Johns Hopkins will still host Bucknell University at 8:00 p.m. in the lone game of the day.
The changes to the schedule occur on October 17 as George Washington will host Princeton University at 11:00 a.m. before the Tigers travel to Johns Hopkins for a 7:00 p.m. game. In comparison to the previous schedule which had the games reversed with had the JHU-Princeton game earlier in the day with the Princeton-GW contest at night, this schedule allows the Tigers to travel North throughout the day (Washington D.C. - Baltimore - Princeton) and permits Johns Hopkins to play earlier in the day against Iona College at the United States Naval Academy.
The JHU-Iona game, which is part of a four-game slate at Navy on October 17, will now occur at 11:00 a.m. with the Navy-United States Air Force Academy (12:30 p.m.), Iona-Air Force (5:30 p.m.) and Navy-Bucknell Univeristy (7:30 p.m.) games following in succession. Note to fans, this schedule is a radical change from the originally posted schedule for October 17.
However, the slate of games on Sunday, October 18 remains the same with the George Washington-Air Force (9:30 a.m.), Navy-Princeton (11:30 a.m.), Johns Hopkins-Air Force (1:00 p.m.) and Navy-George Washington (4:00 p.m.) games slated to go off at their originally posted times.
