BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has released the schedule for the 2011 Women's National Collegiate Club Mid-Atlantic Division.

Divided into Northern and Southern Regions due to distance between the member institutions, the division champion will receive an automatic berth to the National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Notre Dame on May 6-8 in South Bend, Indiana.

Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania State University, University of Pittsburgh and West Chester University comprise the Northern Region, while the Southern Region encompsasses Duke University, James Madison University, the University of North Carolina, University of Richmond, University of Virginia and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech).

Competition will begin a 22-contest cross-over tournament between the two regions at James Madison on February 11-13.

The regular season concludes on March 19-20 with a pair of tournaments as Penn is the site of a  10-game event in the Northern Region and Virginia hosts a 12-game tournament in the Southern Region to establish the final seedings for the 17-game Mid-Atlantic Division Championship on April 1-3 at Carnegie Mellon

In the recent history of the division, the Quakers of Penn have dominated the division winning five consecutive and six-of-seven Mid-Atlantic Division titles since 2004 (2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010).  Penn State captured a pair of crowns (2001, 2005), while Virginia (2003) and former division member the University of Maryland (2002) each hold one title.
