BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Erin Gibson (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) of the University of Notre Dame "A" team tallied 10 goals, 10 steals, eight ejections drawn and 12 sprint victories at home during the Irish Invitational to earn the February 21 Midwest Division Player of the Week award.

The second Irish player to earn Midwest Division Player of the Week honors this season, Gibson finished 12-of-15 in sprints as Notre Dame finished 3-1 on the weekend.

Her best game of the weekend came against Texas A&M University as Gibson posted five goals in a 9-3 victory.  In addition, she added a hat-trick versus the University of Florida (7-4 L), while helping the Fighting Irish in a pair of victories against the University of Iowa (7-3 W) and Michigan State University (9-4 W).
