BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- California Polytechnic State University continues to hold a grip on the No. 1 ranking in the Women's National Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) released the Week 11/April 7 edition of the rankings.
Ranked No. 1 since the preseason poll following back-to-back-to-back National Collegiate Club Championship titles in 2008, 2009 and 2010, the Mustangs garnered 99 points, one points shy of a unanimous selection and a point better than their total of 98 from the March 31 balloting.
The Top Five remains unchanged with the University of Michigan, University of California-Davis, University of California-Los Angeles and University of California-Berkeley remaining at No. 2-5, respectively.
The University of California-Santa Cruz moves up to No. 6, while University of Oregon, University of Notre Dame and University of Florida account for No. 7-9.
The University of Central Florida and University of Utah stand tied at No. 10, with Pennsylvania State University, Arizona State University, Grand Valley State University and University of California-San Diego finishing out the Top 15.
Middlebury College, San Diego State University, University of Texas, University of Iowa and University of Arizona complete the Top 20.
