Grand Valley State University's Geneva Named October 25 Great Lakes Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Josh Geneva (Sr., Grand Haven, Mich.) of Grand Valley State University tallied 11 goals with three assists, five steals, four field blocks and three exclusions drawn in victories over Ball State University, Ohio University and the University of Illinois-Chicago to lead the Lakers to the Great Lakes Division title and earn the October 25 division Player of the Week award.

He powered the Lakers past Ball State (19-8 W), Ohio (14-4 W) to earn a place in the division title game before downing UIC (12-6 W) for the championship.  The title marks GVSU's eighth Great Lakes crown as the squad previously captured the 2002-08 championships.

Geneva and GVSU will continue the season on November 12-14 at the National Collegiate Club Championship hosted by Southern Utah University.
