CWPA Announces Adjusted 2010 Rocky Mountain Division Championship Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has announced an adjusted schedule for the 2010 Men's National Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division at the University of Denver with games now beginning on Friday, October 29. Six contests will occur on Saturday, October 30 before the finale on Sunday, October 31 with four games.
Comprised of Denver, University of Colorado "A", University of Colorado "B", the University of Utah, Colorado State University, Southern Utah University and Weber State University, the championship will decide the best team in the division.
The division champion will earn an automatic bid to the National Collegiate Club Championship on November 12-14 at Southern Utah. Southern Utah, as the host institution, is guaranteed a bid to the 16-team field at No. 16 unless the Thunderbirds capture the division title.
If Southern Utah wins the division crown, the runner-up in the division will advance to the National Collegiate Club field as the No. 16 team, with Southern Utah taking the division's berth at No. 7.
