Washington University's Tim Greer Named November 7 Missouri Valley Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Tim Greer (So., Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) of Washington University in St. Louis tallied 11 goals, 10 assists and 25 steals in a 3-0 weekend in leading the Bears to the 2011 Division III National Collegiate Club Championship at Hamilton College to earn the November 7 Missouri Valley Division Player of the Week award.
The tournament's Most Valuable Player and an All-Tournament First Team selection, he posted four goals, two assists and seven steals in a 19-7 victory against Carnegie Mellon University of the Mid-Atlantic Division in the opening round. Facing Heartland Division champion Monmouth College in the semifinals, he added four goals, four assists and eight steals to propel his team to the program's National Championship game appearance with a 17-11 victory.
In the title game against North Atlantic Division representative Bowdoin College, Greer tacked on 10 seals, three goals and four assists as part of a 13-10 win.
