Hartwick College's Lisa Bass Named February 21 Western Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College's Lisa Bass (Jr., Montreal, Quebec/Lindsday Place) contributed six goals, three assists and seven steals against NCAA varsity competition to earn the February 21 Women's Varsity Western Player of the Week award.

Against Iona College of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in a 20-12 win, she posted six goals with a pair of steals before concluding her varsity competition with three assists and five steals in a 15-11 victory over defending MAAC champion Marist College.

Overall, she helped the No. 15-nationally ranked Hawks also defeat Dollard Des Ormeax (Quebec) 17-8 by recording a hat-trick, while putting in minutes during a 13-4 victory over the Boston University collegiate club team as Hartwick posted a 4-0 mark at the Marist Invitational.

The award marks the second weekly honor of Bass' career as she previously picked up the Northern Division Rookie of the Week award on February 2, 2009.
