George Washington University's Allison Peotter Named February 21 Southern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- George Washington University's Allison Peotter (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) totaled eight points on five goals and three assists, won all eight sprints and tacked on three steals in a 1-1 weekend for the Colonials at the University of Maryland Invitational to earn the February 21 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.
She led George Washington with three goals, an assist, three steals and four sprint victories in a 10-8 victory over Bucknell University, before completing the weekend with recording two goals and two assists with four sprint victories in a loss to Wagner College (8-7 L).
The program's leader in sprint victories (145), the award marks the sixth weekly honor bestowed on Peotter since 2009 as she previously picked up three Rookie of the Week (2009 - February 23, March 2, March 23) and two Player of the Week (2009 - March 23; 2010 - April 5) nods.
