Indiana University's Jakie Kohli Named February 28 Western Division Defensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Jakie Kohli (Jr., Burnaby, B.C., Canada/Moscrop Secondary) of Indiana University picked up 10 steals to go along with four goals and three assists during the No. 16-nationally ranked Hoosiers' three-game slate at the Rodeo Invitational at Santa Clara University to earn the February 28 Women's Varsity Western Division Defensive Player of the Week award.

She notched two or more stteals in each of Indiana's three games, including five in a 9-7 loss to No. 19 University of the Pacific. 

Kohli followed up the performance with three steals, two goals and an assist in a 13-3 win over California State University-Monterey Bay, before wrapping up the weekend with four earned exclusions to go along with pairs of goals, assists and steals in a 9-3 victory over the host Broncos of Santa Clara.

She now has six multi-steal performances on the year and ranks ninth on the Indiana all-time steals list with 155 career takeaways.
