University of Maryland's Molly Ruth Named March 7 Southern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of Maryland's Molly Ruth (Fr., West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) contributed nine points over the weekend in four games to lead the No. 20-ranked Terrapins to a 2-2 record and earn the March 7 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
She doubled her season output during games against George Washington University (10-7 W), Marist College (12-8 W), No. 14-ranked Hartwick College (10-7 L) and No. 17 Indiana University (13-8 L), including a career-high five points off four goals and an assist in the Terrapins' victory over GW.
In addition, she added a goal against Marist and chipped in two steals over the weekend.
