Princeton University's Saranna Soroka Named March 21 Southern Division Co-Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa -- Princeton University's Saranna Soroka (So., Redondo Beach, Calif./Chadwick School) notched seven goals on 14 shots and added eight drawn ejections, two steals and two assists to earn a share of the March 21 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.

She aided the No. 18-ranked Tigers in a 3-2 campaign on the West Coast in which Princeton defeated Concordia University (11-5 W), California State University-San Bernardino (11-6 W) and Sonoma State University (13-4 W) and fell to No. 10 Long Beach State University (7-5 L) and No. 6 Loyola Marymount University (8-6 L) in near upsets.

The only Tigers' player to score in all five games, she tallied a goal with an assist and a drawn ejection against Concordia, before contributing a goal and three drawn ejections versus Long Beach State.

Following a hat-trick with an assist and a drawn ejection in a five goal victory over CSU-San Bernardino, she posted a goal with a drawn ejection and two steals against Sonoma State.  Soroka concluded the weekend with a goal and two drawn ejections in a tight two-goal defeat at the hands of LMU.

She shares Player of the Week honors with George Washington University's Allison Peotter (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar).
