BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Carthage College's Kimberly Genian (Sr., Gurnee, Ill./Highland Park) tallied 11 goals, 10 assists, seven steals, a field block, 14 sprint victories and five drawn ejections to earn the March 21 Women's Varsity Division III Player of the Week award.
She connected on 58% of her shots during the week while leading the Lady Reds to a 5-2 record, including a 5-0 mark in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III play.
Following a three goal performance to open the week against Mercyhurst College (20-10 L) and a steal with five kickouts-drawn against Gannon University (15-9 L), Genian and the rest of the Carthage squad downed Macalester College (13-5 W), Wheaton College (10-2 W), Pennsylvania State University-Behrend (14-1 W), Utica College (12-3 W) and Connecticut College (19-4 W) at the CWPA Division III East-vs.-West Tournament at PSU-Behrend.
Her best game of the weekend came versus Macalester as she posted her second hat-trick of the week in helping the Lady Reds to an eight-goal victory.
