Hartwick College's Charlotte Mensink Named March 28 Western Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College's Charlotte Mensink (Jr., Nijerdal, Netherlands) posted 12 goals, eight assists and seven steals in a 4-0 weekend for the No. 16-ranked Hawks to earn the March 28 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week award.

The accolade marks the third of the season for Mensink as she garnered honors as the February 21 Western Division Defensive Player of the Week and the March 7 Rookie of the Week.

Last week, she aided the Hawks in handling California Baptist University (12-6 W), California State University-San Bernardino (15-4 W), California State University-Bakersfield (17-7 W) and Division III University of Redlands (17-9 W) at the CSU-Bakersfield Roadrunner Invitational.

She tallied a goal with five steals and an ejection drawn against Cal Baptist, chipped in five goals with an assist and a steal versus CSU-San Bernardino, and tacked on four goals with four assists against CSU-Bakersfield.  Against the only ranked team of the week, she rattled home two goals while contributing three assists, a steal and two ejections drawn against Redlands.
