George Washington University's Allison Peotter Named March 28 Southern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- George Washington University's Allison Peotter (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) totaled eight goals, six assists, seven steals, seven ejections drawn and 11 sprint victories in a 2-1 week at the Colonials Invitational to earn the March 28 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.

Playing at home versus Siena College (13-11 L), Villanova University (13-5 W) and Mercyhurst College (12-4 W), she moved up the career charts at George Washington becoming the program's career steals leader (170) and moving within an assist of GW's career mark (98).

She opened the weekend witth four goals and three assists against Siena, before adding a goal, an assist and four steals versus Villanova.  Peotter wrapped up the tournament with three goals and two assists in an eight-goal win against Mercyhurst.

The award marks the nintht weekly honor bestowed on Peotter since 2009 as she previously picked up three Rookie of the Week (2009 - February 23, March 2, March 23) and four Player of the Week (2009 - March 23; 2010 - April 5; 2011 - February 21, March 7, March 21) nods.
