BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brown University's Kate Woods (Fr., La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla) posted 24 goals, five assists, seven steals and six ejections drawn in a 4-1 week for the Bears at the California State University-Bakersfield Road Runner Invitational to earn the March 28 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
The accolade marks her second Rookie of the Week honor of the season as Woods previously picked up co-honors on February 28.
She opened the week with five goals, an assist, a steal, a field block and an ejection drawn versus California Baptist University (14-7 L) in the Bears' opening game of the Roadrunner Invitational.
Woods tacked on a goal with two assists in an 11-10 victory over Fresno Pacific University, before registering a career-high seven goals against California State University-San Bernardino (13-7 W). In addititon, she chipped in three steals and an assist against CSU-San Bernardino.
In the final two games of the weekend, she notched six goals with two ejection drawn against the University of Redlands (13-11 W), before wrapping up the slate of games with five goals, an assist, a steal and three ejections drawn in a victory over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (17-15 W).
