BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Kandis Canonica (Sr., Burlingame, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) posted six goals, five assists, two steals and seven ejections drawn over three games at the Princeton University Tiger Tournament to earn honors as the April 4 Women's Varsity Western Division Player of the Week.

Facing No. 7 University of Michigan (15-6 L), No. 18 Princeton University (12-5 L) and St. Francis College (16-12 W), she registered 11 points and ignited seven man-up chances to lead the Bison.

She posted pairs of goals and assists with five ejections drawn versus Michigan in Western Division play, while notching a steal with an ejection drawn against Princeton.

Her best game of the week came versus St. Francis as she netted four goals, dished out three assists, drew an ejection and grabbed a steal to set a season high with seven points and account for the difference in a four-goal victory.

Already Bucknell's all-time leading scorer with 387 career points and the assists record-holder with 203, Canonica ranks third on the team with 52 points (25g, 27a) this year, despite missing three early season contests. She has scored at least one goal in six of the last seven games and recently saw a consecutive game point-scoring streak of 44 come to an end.
