LEWISBURG, Pa. -- No. 18-ranked Princeton University built a 7-0 second half lead in an 11-5 win over Harvard University at Bucknell University. Brittany Zwirner scored three goals to lead Princeton in the win as the Tigers improved to 14-9 overall.
Lauren Brunner and Katie Rigler added two goals apiece in the win and four other Tigers scored goals. Saranna Soroka, Brunner and Zwirner scored in the opening period to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead and tallies from Cari Levine, Zwirner and Molly McBee made it 6-0 at the half.
Rigler scored three minutes into the third quarter to make the score 7-0 before four-straight Harvard goals got the score to 7-4 before Princeton reopened the gap in the final frame.
Kristen Ward made 10 saves in the win as Princeton went four-for-eight with the man advantage and held Harvard to one goal on seven chances.
