George Washington University's Megan Walker Garners April 11 Southern Division Player of the Week Accolades
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Megan Walker (Jr., San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente) of George Washington University scored seven goals, grabbed three steals and drew four ejections along with a pair of five-meter penalties against No. 6 University of Michigan and Bucknell University to earn the April 11 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.
Facing the nationally-ranked Wolverines and the host Bison at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium over the weekend, Walker opened the competition with two goals and two ejections-drawn against Michigan. She wrapped up her weekend by converting on five-of-eight shots for five markers, along with three steals, a pair of ejections-drawn and two five-meter penalties drawn against Bucknell.
Her four ejection-drawn weekend raised her career total to 111 to rank her third on the Colonials' all-time leader board.
