BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College's Charlotte Mensink (Jr., Nijerdal, Netherlands) posted three goals, three assists and eight steals for the No. 14-ranked Hawks against No. 6 University of Michigan and No. 12 Indiana University in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Western Division play at Bucknell University to earn the April 11 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week award.
The accolade marks the fourth of the season for Mensink as she garnered honors as the February 21 Western Division Defensive Player of the Week and the March 7 and March 28 Rookie of the Week.
Against Michigan, she posted a goal with an assist and six steals in an 8-7 near upset of the the Top 10-ranked Wolverines. The loss, which gave Michigan the Western Division title, set-up a meeting with Indiana to determine second place in the division.
Versus Indiana, she chipped in pairs of goals, assists and steals as the Hawks downed the Hoosiers 8-5 to lock-up second place in the Western Division.
The victory nearly guarantees Hartwick a first round bye and the No. 2 seed for the CWPA Eastern Championship at Indiana University on April 29-May 1.
