Washington & Jefferson College Knocks Off Notre Dame (Ohio) 11-6 on Senior Day

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Senior Kate Van Schaik scored two goals and dished out two assists as Washington & Jefferson College earned an 11-6 women’s water polo victory over Notre Dame College (Ohio) on Senior Day at the Henry Memorial Natatorium.

Van Schaik and classmates Katie Wieber (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and Caitlin Brown (Milford, Ohio/Milford) were honored in a pre-match senior ceremony by head coach Greg Jones

Sophomore McKenzie Graf (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) stood tall in the goal for the Presidents by collecting 13 saves.  She also recorded three steals. 

The Presidents (9-6) took control of the match by scoring five of the six goals during the second quarter.  Wieber finished with three goals and two steals in her final collegiate home match, while junior Sarah Cull (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) added a pair of goals. 

Freshmen Margot Wummer (Havertown, Pa./Germantown Academy), Catherine Villa (Poway, Calif./Poway) and Dana Wieber (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) all added one goal.
