BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brown University goalies Sarah Shin (Fr., Fullerton, Calif./Sunny Hills) and Claudia Ruiz (So., Sacramento, Calif./Rio Americano) combined for 15 saves over two games to share honors as the April 25 Women's Varsity Southern Division Co-Defensive Players of the Week.

The duo helped the Bears upend host Connecticut College (12-3 W) and Utica College (14-6 W) in the final two regular season games of the 2011 campaign.

Against Connecticut, Shin made four saves in three periods of work, before giving way for a four save performance by Ruiz in the fourth period.

The duo wrapped up the weekend as Shin stopped three shots and Ruiz turned aside four scoring attempts versus Utica.
