Harvard University's Devan Kennifer Earns ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention Notice
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard junior co-captain Devan Kennifer (Monterey, Calif./Santa Catalina) was named honorable mention All-America by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
This is the second All-America selection for Kennifer and the first All-America pick for head coach Ted Minnis.
Kennifer, a two-meter player, led the Crimson in goals (76) and steals (81).Kennifer was also the 2011 Harvard MVP award, the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division All-Conference first team and the CWPA Eastern Championship All-Tournament first team. Kennifer also earned CWPA Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week Honors for April 4-10 and was named Harvard COOP Athlete of the Week May 3.
She led the Crimson to its best finish at the Eastern Championships since 2005 and a 17 win season, giving the Crimson its most wins in six years.
