BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) recently released the 2010 Men's Varsity Division II Eastern Championship schedule of games. The one-day, four-game event on Saturday, October 23 at Queens College (N.Y.) will feature the host Knights, Gannon University, Mercyhurst College and Salem International University as the teams battle for the title of the best Division II program in the CWPA.

This will mark the sixth time the championship will be contested as Mercyhurst (2007, 2008, 2009), Salem International (2004) and Queens (2003) have previously captured crowns.  In the history of the championship, Mercyhurst has advanced to the title game the most times (4 - 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009), while Gannon (2007, 2008, 2009) has made the past three title tilts without a victory.  Salem International and Queens both claimed the crown in their only championship game appearances, while former varsity program Slippery Rock University advanced to the 2003 title game.
