LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The No. 16 Princeton University men’s water polo team won 15th place at the SoCal Tournament with a 10-8 win over the University of Redlands at UCLA's Spieker Aquatics Center on Sunday afternoon. Junior Mike Helou led the Tigers with four goals, including two scores in the third period.

Senior goalie Mike Merlone registered six saves in goal for Princeton (9-6).

Junior Andrew Smith-Jones and senior Brendan Meaney each added two goals to lead Redlands (5-11). Sophomore goalkeeper Jessie Gunther recorded ten stops in the cage for the Bulldogs.
