CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- A mix of youth and veterans were recognized on the evening of Thursday, December 2 at the Harvard University men's water polo team end-of-the-year banquet, hosted at the Harvard Club of Boston.

Senior co-captain Bret Voith was tabbed the team's Most Valuable Player after being the squad's only 30-30-30 guy with 38 goals, 31 assists and 32 steals. Voith was named Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Player of the Week October 13 and earned CWPA All-Northern Division second team honors at the end of the year.

The team's Most Improved Award was given to junior Kevin DiSilvestro. DiSilvestro notched just two scores, three helpers and six takeaways in the team's first five games, then ended the year tallying 14 goals, four assists and five steals in the final six games of the season. He would finish fifth on the team in goals scored (29) and fifth in assists (17).

Freshman Neal O'Hara was tabbed the Newcomer of the Year after finishing the season with six goals, eight assists and 12 steals. O'Hara notched his first career goal September 19 against Washington & Jefferson College in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament.

Senior Jeff Lee, who was the Crimson's catalyst on offense all season long, finishing tied with Voith for the team lead at 38 goals, earned the Coaches' Award.  Lee ended the year with 21 assists and 32 steals to go along with his 38 scores.

Head coach Ted Minnis recognized the senior class for their hard work, dedication and support during his first season with the Crimson.
