Brown University's Corey Schwartz Named to 2010 Fall Academic All-Ivy Team

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League has announced the names of 80 student-athletes – including three from the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) – who have been named to the fall 2010-11 Academic All-Ivy League team.

The honorees are starters or key reserves on officially recognized varsity teams who have cumulative grade-point averages of at least 3.0. Each of the eight Ivy League schools nominates five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes.

Leading the way among Brown University's 10 selections is men's water polo player Corey Schwartz (Sr., Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake).

An economics major and a three-time CWPA All-Academic selection, he captained the Bears to an 18-12 overall record, including a 6-1 mark in the Northern Division, as Brown concluded the season with a fifth place finish at the CWPA Eastern Championship hosted by Bucknell University.

He is joined on the Academic All-Ivy team by Bret Voith of Harvard University and Matt Hale of Princeton University.
