California Baptist University Upends Harvard University, 12-10

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Six Crimson players tallied goals, including Aisha Price with four, but the Harvard University women's water polo team fell, 12-10, at California Baptist University.

The Lancers started the game with a 3-1 advantage in the first period, as Devan Kennifer was the lone Crimson player to score in the opening frame.

Cal Baptist scored the first goal of the second quarter, before Harvard began a furious comeback. The Crimson scored four times in the second quarter and four more times in the fourth to pull ahead, 9-8. Aisha Price scored twice in each period to help Harvard gain the lead.

Harvard's offense, which had flourished over the last 16 minutes, was drowned during the final quarter.  Elise Molnar was the only Harvard player to find the back of the cage in the frame, but it came with just 40 seconds left and after Cal Baptist had scored four goals to take a 12-9 lead.

Harvard limited the Lancers to 2-of-8 during 6-on-5 advantages, while the Crimson were 5-of-12 with a player advantage.

Aisha Price's four goals led Harvard and Kennifer added two scores. Shayna Price added three assists.

On the defensive end, Kennifer made four steals and Ariel Dukes saved six Lancer shots.
