CWPA Releases Week 16/May 9 Women's Varsity Polls
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Due to no competition last week leading up to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship during this upcoming weekend at San Diego State University, the National Polls are unchanged from the May 2 voting.
Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion the University of California-Los Angles remains at No. 1 in the May 9/Week 16 Women's Varsity National Top 20 Poll, while Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) champion Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and CWPA Division III champion Grove City College retain their spots at No. 1 in the Division III Top 10 and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls. CWPA Eastern Champion Princeton University remains in the top spot in the CWPA Division I/II Top 10.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the CWPA, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Big West Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls are compiled and released on each Wednesday during the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
