Princeton University's Katie Rigler Named to 2012 NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Princeton University women's water polo sophomore Katie Rigler (So., Fullerton, Calif./Rosary) was named to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women's Water Polo Championship All-Tournament Second Team, earning the Tigers' first-ever tournament honors.

Rigler led the Princeton offense with seven goals over the three-game championship. She also notched five steals, two assists and drew three ejections in three starts.

She is coming off a standout year, where she led the Tiger offense with 76 goals. This season, Rigler was named Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division Player of the Year, to the All-Southern First Team and took home CWPA Eastern Championship MVP honors.

The Tigers concluded their first NCAA Championship appearance with a sixth-place finish in the eight team field and a 29-6 overall record.
