BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Mercyhurst University, Notre Dame College, Gannon University and Salem International University will clash on Saturday, October 27 at a site to be determined for the men's Division II Eastern Championship.

The one-day championship event, featuring four games to decide which program is the best among the CWPA's Division II membership for the 2012 season, will occur at one of three sites.  Currently, a site is being decided among the teams at either the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio; Gannon University in Erie, Pa.; or Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. 

An announcement on a final site is expected within the next several weeks.

Mercyhurst has dominated play in the history of the championship capturing four titles (2011, 2009, 2008, 2007) with Salem International (2004) holdidng one crown.  Former league member and varsity program Queens College (N.Y.) claimed the 2003 and 2010 titles to rate as the only other program with a Division II Eastern Championship.

Seeding for the championship will be announced at a later date.
